The EOS Orbit LoRa Gateway is an eight-channel LoRaWAN gateway built for orbit. An SX1301 concentrator monitors eight 125 kHz channels simultaneously between 400 and 510 MHz with sensitivity down to -148 dBm, and a custom LoRaWAN network server runs onboard.

Ground sensors transmit on standard LoRa hardware; the gateway receives, validates, and stores their packets, then forwards them to the satellite bus over CAN. The design is ruggedized for LEO with watchdog recovery, e-fuse protection, and ESD and EMI mitigation.

  • 8 simultaneous LoRa channels, 125 kHz each
  • 400 - 510 MHz with custom frequency configurations
  • Sensitivity to -148 dBm
  • Custom onboard LoRaWAN network server (v1.0.1, ABP)
  • Packet timestamping for time-of-arrival measurement
  • 2.1 W typical in gateway mode, 1 W idle
  • Watchdog, short-circuit, over/under-voltage, ESD, and EMI protection
  • Optional camera (CSI), PPS input, custom bands
